Complete with OnDemand lessons, guidebooks & worksheets, and practice forms & templates, you'll gain the knowledge you need to get paid!

Program Objectives

Assist you through the process of credentialing with insurance providers
Help you to understand the terms of your insurance contracts, including procedural codes, compensation and payment terms, and compliance
Support you through the process of establishing your insurance and private pay billing and payment systems
Assist you in setting up your Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System
Assist you in understanding the federal and state laws that apply when privately billing clients
Help you to establish revenue streams as an out-f-network (OON) provider
Facilitate the development of policies and procedures that aid compliance with ethical, federal, and state regulations

Program Structure

Enrollment Duration

The goal of the program is to assist you in establishing a strong foundation for your practice in less time and with less stress. Ideally, this program would be completed within 4-6 months from the enrollment date. However, I understand that life can be unpredictable and more time may be needed. As such, this program will be accessible for up to 12 months.

Expectation for Program Participation

Participants should plan to spend 15-25 hours to complete the course assignments. The program guarantees time is secured for guidance on the topic areas, but not completion of the tasks. As a participant, it is recommended you regularly schedule time to work on the curriculum. (Don't worry, we'll help with that too).

Communication

Ongoing support will be provided through the Behavior Analysts in Business Community, an exclusive online community for participants in the program. This platform can be used to ask questions, share your experiences, participate in events, and meet fellow BCBAs on their journey to independent practice.

Individualized Consultation

Charity Steele, BCBA

Charity is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, owner and operator of an independent ABA practice, and founder of TreSource, Inc. In 2010, she launched her practice with private pay-only contracts through a BCBA-only model. In 2012, she expanded her practice to include insurance funders, continuing to focus heavily on BCBA-only services with a focus on parent-led treatment interventions. In the past 12 years, she has successfully negotiated in-network contracts and single-case agreements with public and private insurance companies, consistently secured authorizations for BCBA-only and 2-tier model services, and navigated the billing and claims process. Charity is passionate about supporting independent practitioners and helping them navigate through these critical processes. She takes great pride in providing the highest quality of services to her clients and is excited for the opportunity to share her expertise with the ABA community.
